Warlords Battlecry Wiki

Blogging for the first time in five and a half years. As some already know, the Wiki has been in a state of underdevelopment and stagnation for at least two years. A lot of things like unit information between all versions have been made since 2013, but the information and details for these are still that of 1.03.24. Because there are so many versions of the game, development is limited as there is no one with the time to update all the entries. In addition, all the versions serve to divide the community more (along with the lack of language support, which is an insurmountable task for the Wiki and likely something we'll never see), something drastic for such a small following. To tell the truth, I was hoping that reliable, consistant help may arrive and Wiki development would proceed like clockwork. Instead, the community either also lacks time or lacks the will. It may be that not many players are interested in a dedicated Wiki. For those that are, there is some consolation as developers of The Protectors may at some point come to the Wiki in order to fix and update it once a near-perfectly balanced version of the game was released. This was something I wished had happened already, but the problem is is that The Protectors has still not reached a completely stable state of balancing.

I would still like to be able to continue to develop the Wiki, but I haven't the time. Most is dedicated to working on The Protectors - as with many of the developers. Last year was a good year for development, but this year has been a bit patchy. At times months have flown past with few developments due to real life and development has only picked up in late Summer. 0.8.9 is the largest patch to-date, featuring things we - as a community and a team - only ever dreamed about. It is definitely a possibility that 0.8.9 will not be released this year, and instead will be released sometime next year in late Spring or Summer. We're hoping 0.8.9 will hit that 'sweet spot', the perfect balance between fun and well, balance. We'll see if that is the case next year - if it is, then the Wiki might receive some updates from us!
